International Youth Day spotlights the struggles young people face worldwide. Half the children aged six to 13 lack basic reading and math skills. Awareness leads to solutions. At Bloomingdale Day Care, we have offered programs since 1982. We believe a strong parent-teacher partnership helps each child learn. Summer Camp is underway at Bloomingdale Daycare. Children arrive full of energy, ready for activities across our classrooms, playgrounds, and play area. In a licensed center, International Youth Day shows up as ordinary days done well. Children move through interest areas, work in small groups, and take part in activities that build reading and math skills. Teachers observe what holds a child's attention and plan from there. Parents see artwork, notes, and stories from the day.
The point is simple: education is one of the best things we can offer children. When a child is curious, they keep asking and keep trying. That shows at home as more questions, more stories, and more attempts at things that are hard. Strong parent-teacher partnership supports that at school and at home.
