Summer Camp kicked off in July at Bloomingdale Daycare. The children had energy to spare and spent the month busy with camp activities. Camp runs for children through age 13. If you want to know what a camp day looks like or which weeks still have openings, call the center and ask.
April at a child-care center means egg hunts, art shows and picture days. Children hunt for eggs, open them to find toys and stickers, and carry as many as their hands allow. They practice taking turns, waiting in line and cleaning up after. Parents get artwork for the fridge and a class photo to keep.
These days give children something to look forward to and a chance to practice skills they use all year. Hunting for eggs builds looking, reaching and sharing. Art projects let a child choose colors and finish something on their own. At home, you may notice more talk about friends and more pride in what they made.
