We use the Creative Curriculum, a play-based approach built around interest areas. Teachers set up materials that children choose from and return to. A child who spends the morning at the block shelf is learning to plan, test, and try again. That is how confident, creative thinking starts.
Rooms are arranged in corners and zones, so a small group can paint while another builds. Days keep a steady rhythm: play, tidy up, eat, rest, go outside. Children know what comes next, and that helps them settle. Teachers sit low, at a child's eye level, and join the play.
You will hear teachers describing what a child did, not just how the day went. You will see work at child height. The yearly training and First Aid and CPR certification mean the adults keep learning too.
What a day looks like
Morning starts with a hello and a spot to put belongings. A teacher helps your child find something to do right away. Some children need a lap first; some walk straight to the toys. Either is fine.
The middle of the day holds play, small-group learning, meals, and rest. There is outdoor time in the fenced-in playgrounds when weather allows. Children move between busy and quiet parts, with adults nearby.
After nap, the pace eases. Children play again, help tidy, and gather their things. At pickup you get a face-to-face update on what your child did. Aftercare at SRD and MBD stays open until 6:00 p. m. on school days, including half-days.
How we work with families
At pickup, a teacher tells you something your child did that day. If you have a question, ask then, and the teacher will find an answer or follow up. Notes and messages work too when mornings are rushed.
The first weeks are about your child getting to know one familiar adult. You can tell us your child's routine, comfort item, and how they settle. We adjust drop-off as your child grows more at ease.

Tour the room
See the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Ask anything about the day, and watch how the room works.
Enroll and settle in
Complete enrollment and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We will talk through drop-off, naps, and meals before the first day.

Our aftercare program remains open until 6:00 p.m. on all school days, including half – days.
What ages do you take?
Children from 6 weeks to 13 years old.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Families usually pack a change of clothes, diapers or pull-ups if needed, and a comfort item for rest. Label everything with your child's name. Please leave extra belongings at home.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us to ask what is available for the days you need.
What if there is no place right now?
Yes, you can ask us to let you know when a place opens for your child's age. We will take your details and keep them on file. We cannot promise a date or hold a spot, but we will call when something comes up.
